Educational Qualification( शैक्षिक आवश्यकता ): Master’s degree in library science/information science/documentation with at least 55% of the marks or its equivalent grade of B in the UGC seven point scale and a consistently good academic record. (ii). At least five years of experience as Assistant Librarian in a University Library or as a College Librarian. (iii) Evidence of innovative library services, and organization of published work and professional commitment, computerization of library. (iv) A minimum score of 300 as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based appraisal System (PBAS) as per the standards and guidelines set out by the University for direct appointments of lateral level.
Desirable ( अनुभव आवश्यकता ): M.Phil/Ph.D. degree in library science/ information science/ documentation/ Archives and manuscript-keeping/computerization of library. 
Pay Scale( वेतन ): ₹15600-39100+AGP 8000/-
Age Limit( आयु सीमा ) : Preferably not more than 50 years

Educational Qualification( शैक्षिक आवश्यकता ): (i) Masters’ degree in Library Science/Information Science/documentation or an equivalent professional degree with at least 55% of the marks or its equivalent grade of B in the UGC seven point scale. OR (ii) Graduate with B. Lib. Science and three (03) years of experience as Semi Professional Assistant or in an equivalent post
Desirable ( अनुभव आवश्यकता ): Knowledge of cataloguing (Urdu/ Hindi/English/Persian/Arabic) and library software.
Age Limit( आयु सीमा ) : Preferably not more than 40 years

Pay Scale( वेतन ): ₹5200-20200+GP 2800/-
