Essential Qualification (अनिवार्य शैक्षिक आवश्यकता):

(a) Master Degree In relevant subject with atleast 55% marks or its equivalent grade from a statutory university with good academic record. 
(b) Besides fulfilling the above qualification, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted UGC/CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET

OR

The candidate should have Ph.D degree in accordance with UGC (minimum standard and procedure for award of Ph.D. degree) regulation - 2009
