Vacancy of Directorate General and Senior Library & Information Officer at Delhi Public Library: Last Date- 45 days from the date of publication in Employment News.

Delhi Public Library is looking to fill up the post of Directorate General and Senior Library & Information Officer by Composite Method of promotion/deputation (including Short term contract).

Post (पद): Directorate General

No of posts (रिक्तियों की संख्या):   01 

Officers of the Central or State Govt. /Union Territories or Autonomous Statutory Bodies or Public Sector undertakings or Universities or recognized Research or Educational Institutes. 
(i) Holding analogous posts on regular basis in the parent cadre or Department; or 
(ii) With 3 years' service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in the pay matrix level -13 (Rs. 118500-214100/-) or equivalent in the parent cadre/department. 
Contract: Persons possessing the qualifications and experience as per S.No. 2 below.

Note-1: The maximum age limit for appointment on contract basis shall not exceed sixty-seven years as on the closing date for receipt of applications.
Essential Qualification (अनिवार्य शैक्षिक आवश्यकता ): 
i) Master's Degree from a recognized university or Institute;

ii) Master's Degree in Lib. & Information Science from a recognized University or Institute;

Experience(अनुभव): At least (15) fifteen years experience in middle and senior management positions in any organization(s), out of which at least seven years experience of Administration, Establishment and Financial Management in Central or State Government or UTs or Autonomous or Statutory Bodies or Public Sector Undertakings or Universities or recognized Research or Education Institutes

Age Limit (आयु सीमा): The age limit for deputation (including Short term contract) shall not exceed 56 years.

Pay (वेतनमान):  Pay Matrix Level-14 (Rs.1,44,200 - Rs. 2,18,200)

Post (पद): Senior Library & Information Officer

No of posts (रिक्तियों की संख्या):   01
Library & Information Oficer in the Pay Matrix Level-11 of (Rs. 67,700-2.08,700) with 5 years regular service in the grade and Officers of the Central/ State Govt., Central / State Autonomous Bodies / Public Undertakings .
Holding analogous post on regular basis; OR with 5 years regular service in the post in pay Level 11 of (Rs. 67,700-2.08,700) Or equivalent.
a) In case the departmental officer is selected, his/her appointment will be treated to have been made by promotion.

Essential Qualification (अनिवार्य शैक्षिक आवश्यकता ): 
(ii) Master's Degree from a recognized university or equivalent;

(i) Master's Degree in Library and Information Science from a recognized University/ Institute or equivalent;
iii) Certificate/Diploma in Computer in Library automation recognized by any Govt. University/Institute.
7 years professional experience in a supervisory capacity in the Pay Matrix Level -11 of (Rs. 67,700-2,08,700) (in the Pay band of Rs. 15600-39100 + Grade Pay Rs. 6600) in a Library.

Desirable (वांछनीय आवश्यकता): 

i) Experience of computerizing library activities and networking with other libraries;
ii) Professional experience in Public Library System

Age Limit (आयु सीमा): 

Note:

1) The period of deputation (including Short term contract) shall not exceed 3 years.

2) The age limit for deputation (including Short term contract) shall not exceed 56 years.

The crucial date for determining the age limit shall be the closing date of receipt of application from the candidates

Pay (वेतनमान):  Pay Matrix Level-12 (Rs 78,800-2,09,200).
